This program allows you to scroll through video data (MPEG) to examine the individual frames to determine the location of video edits (cuts, fades, dissolves, wipes etc). Click on the image for a larger view.

USAGE: vidsegpick filename <start_frame>
example: vidsegpick /videodata/video.mpg
example: vidsegpick /videodata/video.mpg 1200

Once the program has loaded, you can scroll through the frames by pressing the N(or n) key.

Binaries are available for Windows, Linux, Solaris. NOTE: The Linux and Solaris binaries are not yet available (mostly due to my laziness). If you require those platforms, let me know and I will have them built and available within 24 hours of receiving your request.

Source code is available here. Note that it requires the PIL libraries.
